Dolly Love Fest

Dolly Love Fest

It’s Friday!!! Yippee!!! I am extra excited today because tonight I am going to see “Joyful Noise!” That’s Dolly Parton and Queen Latifah’s new movie which opens today!!! You can watch this trailer if you want to get excited with me!

I usually wait for movies to go to Redbox or the $1 theater, but there’s no way I could wait that long to see this movie!! I expect to be fully uplifting and ready to attack my dreams with full force after this one! If you’ve been around for any length of time, you know that I adore Ms. Dolly Parton and today, I thought I’d celebrate her new movie by showing off some of Dolly’s interior spaces!

Now, if you don’t know much about the Queen of Country, you may not realize that Dolly grew up in a one bedroom cottage with her parents and 11 brothers and sisters!!! Dolly describes her family as “dirt poor.” I love that even though the odds were definitely against her, Dolly chased after her dreams with all she had!! Below are a few photos I found of Dolly’s home which has been replicated in her theme park “Dollywood.” I have to say even though I can’t imagine living in such small quarters with so many people, the place looks very charming.

I found these photos at Hooked on Houses. You can click the link to see the rest of the tour!
Next, I have a few photos of Dolly’s tour bus. These came from a tour Dolly gave Oprah on her show a while back. There was a lot of pink, and glitzy finishes as you might expect with Dolly’s style, but there are also a few things you might not expect. . . like a touch of Moroccan design!

Above, Dolly shows off her bed and prayer area to Oprah. Below, we get a peak of Dolly’s wig collection. . . she doesn’t leave home without it!! 🙂

This little bitty bathtub on the bus is way too tiny for most people, but for Dolly, it works just fine!

In the other bathroom area, you can see a little glitz and glam with the silver leafed walls and the shinny mosaic tiles.

I looked for photos of Dolly’s Nashville home, but I couldn’t find any. 🙁 So, I guess it’s about time for this love fest to end. I know you all are extremely upset! Have a great weekend!!!
