Honoring The Armed Forces With Art

Honoring The Armed Forces With Art

Happy 4th Friends!  There is not a holiday that makes me feel more pride than the 4th of July!  I am a patriot at heart and have always been thankful for what this country stands for! Back before Memorial Day, I created a window display that honored our armed forces and I am just now getting my photos edited for sharing! And I don’t think there is a better weekend than this one to post pics!  Check it out!

The idea was to create a well curated and carefully put together collage of all sorts of military supplies and memorabilia.  I also used a parachute to in the corner to create a gorgeous diffused light. (This made me want to make a parachute light for my own home- love that glow!!)

Around the outside of the piece I created a frame from bullet casings. I love that brass against the block background!

I was really pleased with how this window turned out.  But to be honest, it’s not how I originally envisioned it. What you see in these pics is actually about 80% done, but I liked the look so much, I decided to leave it……at least for a little while.  I am actually in the process of following through with the original plan now!  So, you’ll get to see another version of this window soon! Yay!
