MEET MRS. ASHLEY ANN

MEET MRS. ASHLEY ANN
It is not often that I meet someone with the same craving to create and eye for design. But as soon as I poked around Ashley’s blog a bit, I knew we could be great friends. In one word this beautiful lady is. . .
AMAZING!!!!!

Whether it be keeping up with her 4 children, updating her blog, or snapping breathtaking pictures- Ashley is one talented lady!
Here are a few of her photos!
I have to say I was a little nervous about posting some of her wonderfully designed rooms because she could surely take some business away from me!!!! Good thing her passion is for photography!!!!
Here is her daughter’s nursery that includes a bed built with shipping pallets (find a DIY tutorial on her blog) and an old door! LOVE IT!!! And the chair- to die for!

The clustered lanterns give her daughter something to look at during nap time and the sentimental art sprinkled throughout the room is precious!
By painting the cabinets in her kitchen, Ashley made the space seem much bigger and broke up all the wood tones making the space very visually pleasing!
And because of our super sweet trade (she photographed my house) she will soon be getting a concrete table top that will speak to the wall color and stainless steel appliances. (I totally got the better end of the deal!!!! SHHHHHHH!!!! Don’t tell!!!)
Notice the wire basket light fixture inspired by Anthropologie!
I don’t know for sure, but I like to think that Ashley and her husband chose to display globes on top of their cabinets to symbolize their love for ALL people. Chris is a church pastor and just returned from a trip to Haiti where he and a group from our church treated bodies and souls with medical supplies and the good news of Jesus Christ!!!
Mismatched chairs are my favorite when done right. Ashley pulled it off perfectly!
When I get to visit Ashley’s house she may want to check my purse before I leave because this doily table runner is so fabulous I might snatch it up and hope she doesn’t notice!!! 🙂 Just kidding. . . sort of.
The yard stick backsplash is so inventive and unexpected- didn’t I say we are similar?
Looking at Ashley’s living room, you would never expect that her house is only 3 years old. She has added so much character and personality!
Here it is before she worked her magic. . .
And After. . .
I am totally digging the contrast created by the black and light blue/gray paint. And the faux fireplace, well I put one in my house didn’t I!!!??
This is one of the few houses that I could move into and be totally happy!!!!
Ashley’s blog is stuffed full of incredible photography, DIY craft inspiration, and her beautifully designed home!!! Go check it out!!!
Just one more reason I love this girl. . .
She’s so cool!!!
FYI- some of the shots Ashley took of my house are up on her blog today, check them out if you like, but make sure to look at all the rest of her stuff too!!!

I’m a recent Ashley Ann blogger and I just saw your home pics and I am in awe. What a wonderful and inviting home you have. I love all the details from the painted hardwood on the ceilings to the Do What You Love What You Do print. Can’t wait to start looking around (and following) your blog.
