Hey Friends! Did you enjoy the succulent centerpiece yesterday? Today I am bringing you a super simple and inexpensive way to spruce up your furniture.
In the past, I have told you that I like to paint, dye, and put glass tops on furniture to change up and/or restore it’s appearance. We’ll today, I have another idea to add to the mix! When I buy brand new staple furniture pieces for myself or clients, I generally like to keep them neutral. You would be surprised at how fast you can get tired of a bright red couch. By keeping the staple pieces neutral, a simple switch of a few accessories can give your room a whole new look.
Even though I opt to keep my new upholstery neutral, that doesn’t mean I want it to stay that way! You guys know me (and my designs)- I love color, pattern, and personality! So, my favorite way to spruce up a nondescript chair- a scarf!!
That’s right! Scarfs are not just for the fashion conscious! Your chairs will enjoy this accessory just as much as you do! I love using scarfs for this particular idea because they are: inexpensive, easy to find, and there are tons of options available out there!
There you have it, an easy way to add some personality to your upholstery! ‘Til tomorrow!
this is so fun! i recently did the same thing with a table runner.
Well that’s fun and simple! Not to mention I have a closet full of scarves I brought back from India. 🙂
what a great idea! i have so many beautiful scarfs from travels that i never wear!
Where is the taller back chair from? Love this scarf idea!! Such a great pop of color!!
