Space of My Dreams

Space of My Dreams
More and more lately I have been dreaming about living in a loft type space. The thought of no yard work and being surrounded by elements like: polished concrete, exposed brick walls, and huge barn style sliding doors has me ready to pack up my bags asap. Recently I got to work on a project at “My Studio” that did not help this urge for an industrial type space. Take a look at what Tulsa’s best kept secret has to offer!

Probably the best thing about the space is the unreal view of the Tulsa skyline. It’s really beautiful and almost makes Tulsa feel like a big city!

Tim and I literally gawked over this place the second we stepped foot into it. The thought of having so much open space for projects and just plain living is extremely appealing to us.

My Studio is used for lots of photo shoots among other things, can’t you just imagine and incredible wedding reception held here!? Anyone need a wedding planner? For some reason I’ve been dying to design one lately.

And as if you needed another reason to fall in love with this space, it also has a rooftop deck so you can enjoy the view in the fresh air.

I told the owners that if they needed someone to keep watch over the space and it’s everyday happenings, that we would be happy to move in. They laughed, but I was serious. Tim. . . Richard, if you’re reading this I was not kidding– we’ll have our bags packed in a heartbeat! 🙂
Are you as infatuated with open, loft style living as we are? Or do you prefer a more suburban space. Anyone want to buy a big warehouse with us?! haha
Tune back in on Monday to see what project we worked on here at “My Studio!”

I definitely love the look and feel of the open, loft style spaces. The old office that I worked in was open with exposed brick and had one huge barn style sliding door. I love these pictures!

What!?!? I wish I knew about this three years ago when i got married. I’m gonna pin it for my sister and persuade her to have a reception there so I can relive it through her. And I totally share your sentiments on loft living. There’s a bunch of crummy old buildings near 5th and Peoria that I would love to clean out and live in, that would be the ultimate! Right by the park too!

Amazing space! I’d love to see what you would do with it! I love the look of loft spaces, but I confess that I’m too much of a traditionalist when it comes to houses. That may have something to do with the fact that I live with lots of kids 🙂
As for wedding planning, I’ve got just the deal for you! My daughter recently got engaged! She isnt going for a loft look though -that would be so cool- but she wants an outdoor, picnic wedding. I’m having great fun dreaming up ideas, but I’d love to pick your amazing brain!

Arsty Momma- I’d love to join you in WI but I’m afraid I couldn’t handle the cold! 🙂 haha

Sarah- We had a great experience. We had plenty of room to work, getting in and out of the building was easy, and the everyone we met was just wonderful!

Lisa- That sounds like so much fun! I’d love to help out! I’m assuming this outdoor wedding will be next spring/summer? E-mail me!
