Have you ever seen the show “Creative Juice” on HGTV or the DIY network? They create all sorts of crafty stuff and show you exactly how to do it. Here are the two hosts Cathie and Steve.
Cathie has also appeared on numerous network shows, specials and promos for NBC, ABC, Discovery Channel, HGTV, DIY and Food Network. And just two years after stepping in front of the camera, Cathie was nominated for two Daytime Emmys for Outstanding Lifestyle Host and Outstanding Lifestyle Program (With the category company of Martha Stewart, Emeril Lagasse and Paula Deen.)!
Yes, these two are fun, crazy, and as it turns out extremely nice people!
How do I know you may ask? Well, while Tim and I were in LA, we were able to meet this dynamic duo!! One of our friends (Mrs. Judy Statts- love you Judy!!) used to do make up for the show and was able to get us a meet and greet of sorts! Of course, this absolutely meant the world to us because these two are living our dream!
When we walked in the door of Cathie’s house, I immediately felt at home because it was filled with projects completed or waiting to be completed. Both Cathie and Steve took the time (even though they were on a tight deadline) to watch some of our videos and give us tips on how to make our on camera presence better. We even got some major compliments, which put us over the moon with joy.
While at her house, Cathie also allowed me to snap a few photos of her craft room which I thought you ladies (and a few gents) might find inspiring.
Of course a lot of organization is needed in a craft room, but I love that Cathie added a glamorous chandelier to amp up the design factor!
You can create art out of anything- I am especially loving this colorful display of spools that is functional but also beautiful.
And it seems bulletin boards are a staple in any organized space. I love this collection of ornate frames that also add to the style factor. It’s great to have a work space that is inspiring to work in. As a matter of fact I think it’s incredibly important to decorate your work space whether it’s a cubicle, office, or living room. Make it a place you love to be and I guarantee you’ll get more work done- or at least be happier while you’re doing it! 🙂

Wow, thanks for sharing their craft room/rooms! I really need to get to working on my craft space. Currently I am crafting where ever I can and that has mainly been from the couch! 🙂
Hey Caitlin, that is quite the craft room isn’t it! You and I both need a space like that!
