LIVING ROOM BEFORE
LIVING ROOM AFTER
I placed pictures on the wall in a way that allows the TV to blend in. This way even though the TV is the focal point, it’s not so overt!
Curtains can be costly so I made mine. Bed sheets, a stencil, and some paint was all it took to create drapes that draw your eye and don’t bust the budget. I built the TV console by reusing the wood from the old kitchen cabinets. Cost: a little time and paint!
The crowning glory of the room is this light fixture. My husband and I worked together to assemble this eye catcher from old mason jars! (You can see the original tongue and groove ceiling really well here)
I salvaged these stumps from a ruthless ice storm we had last winter to create a cute coffee table that would have been made into mulch. I was tired of my old rug so I painted stripes to give it a new look. I LOVE my dogs, so I made a small reference to them by painting a silhouette and displaying it under the console.
