Focusing My Efforts and 2 New Pieces

Focusing My Efforts and 2 New Pieces

Today I woke up with 5 different to do lists and each list seeming to be endless.  Some seasons of life are harder than others.  Most of the time I am filled with that go get ’em attitude, but lately my motivation has been waning.  So many things require my attention right now but all I really want to do is lock myself inside my warehouse and create.

There just aren’t enough hours in the day to do everything I want to.  So, I’m trying to force myself to focus on the most important things.  Tons of opportunities are presented to us all each day and it is up to us to decide what is most important.  I think it’s essential to have a filter- a filter that you run each decision through.  I try to ask, does this opportunity get me closer to my ultimate goal(s).  If it does, I try to find a way to fit it in.

I have a lot more thoughts on this that I’m not quite ready to verbalize, but it’s likely you’ll hear more from me on this topic soon.  Until then, you may notice that my posts will tend to be short and sweet.  Although I consider this blog to be very important (it’s essentially how I started my own business), the expectation I feel to write a completely unique article with original content each day requires a lot of time and energy.  So, at least for a time,  I am giving myself permission to focus less on the documenting of my projects and more on enjoying them.  I hope you will understand. 🙂

So, here’s my quick post for the day-

We recently inherited two amazing pieces from Tim’s grandma.  Sadly, she has Alzheimer’s disease and can no longer live in her home.  For that reason, the home is being sold and cleared out.  Before anything was sold, the family had an opportunity to gather any items they wanted.  Tim and I chose this amazing candy apple, tufted sofa and an elegant brass chandelier with crystals.

I’m not sure where these pieces are going to live yet, but I am very happy to have pieces with family history in our home.  Meaningful design=great design!

‘Til tomorrow!
