Hey Friends! Happy Friday!
We had a great time last night hanging out with friends and celebrating the release of a movie we worked on year and a half ago! If you were reading the blog back then, you might remember me talking about a few of the different sets that I got to work on. My favorite was probably the main character’s loft space, which you can read more about here!
The movie is called “Home Run” and will be released in select theaters around the country on the 19th! Check it out and let us know if you pick up on some of the fun, subtle stuff that we slid into the show. 🙂 You’ll know what I mean when you see it. 🙂
Last week I revealed the hidden storage we created behind our paint chip panels. Well, I finally got around to filling/organizing them and today I’m revealing just how much stuff I can hide behind these paneled pieces!
So, let’s see what’s behind door #1, shall we?!
I wanted to use this unit to house our office supplies and a few other random items. As you can see below, we have a ton of small objects that could create a lot of visual clutter if left out in the open. But now, they can be tucked out of sight and out of mind!
I used a number of jars and bowls to corral smaller items such as: paper clips, rubber bands, sewing accessories, power cords, and more. A few hooks allow me to hang sample pieces of different materials that I use when creating design plans. Collected coupons, thank you notes, and card games round out the top half of the shelving unit.
The bottom half of the unit holds paint fans and some electronic equipment amongst other things. The great news is that I still have room to grow and add things if I need to. A number of the jars are empty and open shelf space is available.
It really has been nice to have a designated spot to put my office-y items. Life is just much more efficient when you know where things are! I swear before I got all this organized, I could spend 10 minutes looking for a pencil! As you can see, there was no shortage of pencils, I just didn’t know where they were!
To add to the organization, I painted the inside of the door with chalk board paint. This is where I can write out the to-do lists for all the projects we have going on. I find that having a to-do list that you can’t lose is very beneficial for a brain like mine! 🙂 Haha!
So, there you have it! The details of Door #1 all laid out. Next week, I’ll take you through door #2 and #3! Oh, and we’ll cover the fridge makeover, and my favorite new beauty secret! 🙂
Have a wonderful weekend!
