NYC Anthropologie Holiday Windows

Hey Friends!  I thought there wasn’t a better way to end the week than with some beautiful Anthropologie window displays!  Don’t you agree!?  Everytime we go to NYC, it’s always on our list to visit all 4 Anthro stores in the area.  They always inspire me!

Of course, visiting around the Holidays meant that the stores’ (especially Rockefeller’s) windows were especially decked out and so impressive.  So  today, I’m going to do a little less talking and let these installations speak for themselves.  PS- All these designs (except the last one) are create with Luan ( a thin piece of wood), cardboard, and/or string/yarn.  Check it out!

This last window display must have taken an army of artists to complete.  This giant bear was created by covering some sort of substrate in wooden furniture dowels.  Not only that, but each dowel was wrapped with string to add even more depth.  The end result is so impressive!

Enjoy your weekend and be back here Monday for some updates on our space!! 🙂

Since you have the inside scoop, what do they do with the displays when they’re finished? Do they sell/donate/give away the pieces? Because a piece of my heart would die if that bear was just thrown out in the garbage!
