Ok friends, I have a couple of things I wanted to cover today. First, Tim and I will be back on Channel 2 on July 4th. This time around we would love to talk about specific design dilemmas that viewers have. So, this is where you come in! I need you to send in your design dilemmas with a few photos that we could talk about on the air. Tim and I have actually done something like this on the blog before.
For example, Jenny sent me a photo of her fireplace. Her dilemma was that the fireplace was set in a corner and Jenny didn’t really know how to decorate the mantle due to the triangular nature of it.
Jenny mentioned in her e-mail that she was a teacher and loved vintage school supplies, so of course we wanted to tell her story with her decor and the design I came up with involved all sorts of revamped educational supplies! So, I photoshopped some things in to show Jenny what I was thinking.

Now on to the next issue at hand. I have mentioned that Tim and I are preparing to go to the Junk Hippy Roadshow (a big, awesome flea market) in Oklahoma City this weekend. Well, if you’re in the area- you should totally come out and see us! It looks like it’s going to be an awesome show and we’ve got all sorts of goodies to sell!! 🙂

Lastly, Tim and I were thrilled yesterday when we received an e-mail from Cathie Filian to let us know she gave us a little shout out on her blog.
Cathie is an Emmy nominated television host of HGTV/DIY’s show “Creative Juice,” producer of TV Shows (including Craft Wars on TLC), and I have dubbed her “the queen of crafting.”
We met Cathie through a mutual friend a few years ago on a trip out to LA. It was pretty amazing to meet someone who was doing exactly what Tim and I wanted to do. We were and continue to be encouraged by Cathie and her crafting partner Steve! I hope that Tim and I can serve as that type of encouragement to others in the future!

Ok….I watched Craft Wars for the first time the other night and you and Tim immediately popped into my head! I was all like ‘Ohemgee! Kara and Tim would totally blow this competition out of the water!’ I would die to see you guys on that show!
