5 Minute DIY- Vintage Flour Sack Kitchen Curtain

5 Minute DIY- Vintage Flour Sack Kitchen Curtain

Well, last week was quite busy for me! The good news is things are a little less hectic now and I have tons of stuff to share with you! This week you can look forward to: coverage on the Dolly concert, behind the scenes news on the DIY Magazine shoot, and the unveiling of some great projects we’ve finally finished (thanks to the DIY deadline!). 🙂

I thought I’d start the week off with a fun and fast DIY that anyone can do in a matter of minutes!
I think it’s always nice to have something going on around the kitchen window- whether it’s a wreath hanging down in front of it, herbs growing on the window sill, or some adorable curtains for a little bit of privacy. I’ve had all of these options at one point or another, but today I wanted to share my latest addition to that area.

A flour sack curtain!

All I did was removing the stitching from the sack, added 2 layers of trim (with hot glue- because it’s easier than sewing), and then draped the sack over a curtain rod.

You could do this with two sacks if you wanted two curtains, but I like the fact that when the curtain is closed you can read the awesome vintage logo!

How easy was that! If you take this idea and run with it, I would love to see a picture!!! Send it my way, won’t you?
