Of course Christmas is one of the MOST important times to have a good window display because tons of people are out and about looking for the perfect present. BUT I think window displays at Christmas time are about a whole lot more than moving products. They are about spreading that Christmas cheer and getting people in a festive mood! Check out the fun design I came up with for IDA RED!!!
THE LEFT SIDE
AND THE RIGHT SIDE
I loved the idea of going with a “naughty or nice” theme to coincide with IDA RED’s rock n’ roll bohemian feel! 🙂 The set up for each window is the same but the content was tweaked to reflect the different audiences that IDA caters to.
The “Nice” side boasts a lot of vintage looking items in cheery colors, whites, and golds. The christmas tree sits on top of a vintage suit case and a sweet chandelier adds light to the look at night. On this side you can also find: knit scarves, TOMS shoes, adorable jewelry, and an incredible vintage style hat topping the tree!
The “Naughty” side had to look a little tougher of course, so I went with a color palette of black silver, red, and a little bit of white. The mannequin shows off a cool jacket and some studded belts while the tree boasts some major bling!! A white vintage hat/tree topper, coke tab purse, silver shoes, and “biker babe” book finish off this look.
My favorite part of the windows this month are the gorgeous painted snowflakes and swirls coupled with the lace in the background! It all adds a lovely layered looked that is very appealing to the eye! I have been extremely busy lately and was able to call in some assistance to help me implement the displays for this important month!
Ms. Tabitha (aka- snowflake painter Queen) is one talented lady and I was so lucky she had time to lend me a hand. She is definitely on the “NICE list!!” 🙂 Thanks Tabby, you’re the best!!
Looks awesome Kara…and Tabitha!
GENIUS idea using a hat as a topper! I am going to steal it.
Hi Kara…. I loved this design so much. I just wanted to let you know I linked it in my blog post. Thanks for being a constant source of inspiration!
