Faceted Wood Panel Video

Hey Friends!  This weekend Tim and I spent our time working on a couple of projects for ourselves!  We are slowly, but surely making headway here at The Downtown Pearl. 😉

You may remember when I last showed you our moving TV contraption that allows our telly to flip and fly whenever we go to different rooms in our space.  Well, as you can see below the frame that holds the tv is made of steel and is very industrial looking.

We certainly don’t mind industrial, but decided we wanted to elevate things and create a more polished look.  So, we came up with the idea to create a decorative piece of art that would frame the TV and also be applied to the backside of the television.  So, if you’re watching TV, you see a pretty frame around the outside.  If the TV is turned away from you, you see a completed piece of artwork. Does that make sense?  If it doesn’t, it will soon enough. I promise! 😉

Today I am showing how we created the piece of art, aka- faceted wood panel!  Watch the 1 minute video below for a fast and entertaining run through of the piece from start to finish!

‘Til tomorrow!

Looks great so far! I can’t wait to see the finished product.

I also love the new video things you are trying out. It’s such a fun new way to see different projects.

Friggin. INCREDIBLE. I figured it was separate pieces but I had NO idea you used a bunch of slats! You guys always go above and beyond, this is really really awesome. I’d love to have something like that in my home.

    Nice work!
