Hey Friends! I am finishing up this series on House of Hy’s guest bedroom today!
We covered the CNC’d (engraved) floral wall….
the bed nooks….
the DIY sconce upgrades….
and now we’re going to cover just a few more of the details you might be interested in throughout this space!
The floral wall concept definitely could have stood on it’s own, but as a set decorator I love adding dimension to a space with layers. A large frame and high gloss white steer head added depth, a pop of color, a chic modern element (a lovely juxtaposition against the rustic wood), and a masculine element to the floral filled space.
The frame came from the Organic Bloom. I love, love ordering pieces from this company to create original and unique looks. I’ve also used a grid of their smaller frames in my own living room!
The steer head came from Z Gallerie. I was so pleased to find such a large piece for such an affordable price. 1959 is the year the house was built.
In order to keep a consistent feel throughout the space, I used a number of fun floral patterns. In fact I used the paper from the sconce upgrade over on the lawyers bookcases as well! The space needed just a bit more concealed storage and the clear glass panels on this piece were not offering any privacy.
The floral paper and some tape made for a easy fix!
Another floral element I used in the space was this amazing light! I found it on Etsy here and fell in love!!! The shadows it casts are so fun too!
And that wraps this space up! ‘Til tomorrow friends!
stunning. i love that feature wall and the little bed nooks.
