Anthropologie’s Oversized Flower Windows

Anthropologie’s Oversized Flower Windows

Hey Friends!  I hope you had a fantastic weekend!  I received an amazing honor on Saturday and was inducted into my high school’s athletic Hall of Fame.  It was a wonderful moment for me in which I was overcome as I realized and thought about all the people who have invested in me over the years.  I feel so very blessed.  I am planning to write more about the event, but today I am posting some amazing Anthro inspiration!

It seems this summer Anthropologie is celebrating the wonder of the flower.  Flowers can bring a smile to my face instantly.  I love to go to the Farmer’s market just to walk by the endless bunches of colorful beauty. So gorgeous.  Well, Anthro’s summer windows took the beauty of flowers and magnified it so we could all get a better look!  Enjoy!

You can find this first installation at the Chelsea Market Anthro in New York City.  I love that dye job!

This next look comes from Princeton, NJ.  All of the these looks remind me of “Alice in Wonderland.” So whimsical and fun.  I think there might be giant flowers like these in Heaven.  🙂

This cluster of cuteness comes from Columbus, OH.  Lots of littles make a big statement!

The display coordinator in Chula Vista, CA did a fantastic job as well! The texture and color fading of these oversized flowers is so inspiring.

Do you see the Q-tips used to help create the center of the flower?  So creative! 🙂

Back when I was at Anthro, I also created a flower display.  Mine was a little bit smaller in scale, but a lot of you really seemed to like it.

When you work at Anthro, you are not allowed to give details on how you create your displays so even though I really wanted to do a tutorial for the blog, I was not able to.  However, since I am no longer with Anthro, I am free to give you all the details on how to make these easy, adorable flowers!  Stay tuned for that later this week!

Did the photos of all these fun, oversized flowers just make your day?  I sure hope so!!! 🙂  ‘Til tomorrow!

PS- I have heard some upcoming Anthro displays may involve doilies!  Get excited! 🙂
