Oh, hey friends! Did you happen to catch “The Voice” on NBC last night? If so, you probably remember James Wolpert’s rendition of “Without You” and you may have even have noticed a fancy lapel flower pinned on James’ jacket.
Oh, you like that wooden lapel flower that Christina called “dapper?” Well, I’ve got good news!! My darling husband who makes wooden bowties…
…also made that wooden lapel flower! 🙂
I was so excited for him as we watched his creation get some major camera time on a hit show! We’ve always loved that “The Voice” is a show where you get to see people’s dreams turn into a reality. Being a tiny part of something like that…. well it’s an honor and has us pumped up over here!
My favorite thing to do is to take pictures of Tim as he is getting good news (you should have seen him when Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal talked about his ties on TNT). I wish I would have got his face as he saw the lapel flower makes it debut on national television, but all I managed was a picture of him taking a picture.
Anyway, the holidays are fast approaching and you are probably already thinking about possible gifts for those hard to buy men in your life. Well, I may be bias, but a wooden lapel flower….or wooden bow tie would make for the perfect man-pleasing present!
….And I’m just going to throw this out there, I’m thinking I could even pull one off. Maybe in my hair, clipped on a necklace, or adorning my purse! I’m loving all the possibilities. 😉
Interested? You can buy a wooden lapel flower or wooden bow tie at Two Guys Bow Ties!

How exciting! Did ya’ll know he’d be rockin’ one or did you just happen to see it? I have a friend whose hubby wears bow ties and I was just telling her the other day that one of Tim’s designs would be the perfect Christmas gift.
great news for your husband and you! well done! i love “the voice” too! Great to see they have artists supporting artists!
Ooh! I would love one as a hair clip! I am not a “blingy” girl, and I have a hard time finding accessories that aren’t too bedazzled. 😉 Are they designed so you could use them as a hair clip?
Great that your husband’s work is getting recognition. I was looking at the Pioneer Woman set changes you made (which are fab by the way) and remembered that she did a post on these bow ties last Easter. You and your husband are both very talented. http://thepioneerwoman.com/homeandgarden/2013/03/awesome-wooden-bowties/
