Hey Friends! Happy Monday! This week, I will be revealing a room I recently finished up piece by piece! The space is long and has a number of nooks throughout the space. This unique layout made the design a tricky and called for some creative thinking. This particular project was new construction, so I got to start from a completely blank slate. The family wanted to fit a kitchenette, living area, sleeping area, and storage in the room. Although the space was plenty big to serve all these functions, figuring out how to place them and separate them effectively was the challenge. Here is the layout I came up with……

And this is how it looked after I finished up the design!

This slatted wood build out has a hidden door, providing the room with some great hidden storage space, while it also provides and easy way to hide TV cords (when it is eventually hung in place of the juju!)
I love the energy and light in this bright and bold room! You may notice the wall separating the bedroom from the rest of the space didn’t get built. Unfortunately, the family got word they needed to put the house up for sale unexpectedly and putting funds into the wall was money they probably would not get back….so we left it out. I’ll reveal the kitchenette, the nooks, and some other projects later this week!
