MASTER BEDROOM BEFORE
MASTER BEDROOM AFTER
My beautiful bedroom retreat was created for a mind-blowing $200. I wanted the space to feel restful but also romantic. The colors ease the mind while the layered flowing fabrics add that romance I was looking for. The headboard and dresser used to be a dark brown. By using paint and a stencil I made, I transformed their look for very little money. Fabric and frugal usually don’t mix, but I managed to make it work by using old bed sheets, garage sale finds, and inexpensive tapestries bringing my grand total for fabric to $50. By reusing old speakers as bedside tables I bring in a warm wood color and keep from busting my budget.
I had an old mirror the just wasn’t cutting it. A border of paint does the trick and draws your eye. I love the way it brings in more wood tones by catching a glimpse of the art on the opposite wall. Simple accessories keep the dresser clean and the mind uncluttered. The door shown used to be a window, but now it provides a path to a private outdoor area.
Art doesn’t have to be expensive!!! I produced this piece from extra fence pickets and, believe it or not, coffee filters.
This was an ugly old light doomed for the dumpster, but I brought it back to life with some spray paint and free Mardi Gras beads!!! And NO I did not “earn” them. If you look closely at the living room before picture you can see this light in its previous state (hanging in the dining room).

You are truly talented. Man the designs you do are killer! Gosh I could stay up looking through your blog over and over again for hours. It is so inspiring. I love the curtains too. The layering is gorgeous. The colors and all the different textures. Great Job!!
