If you liked Project Privacy, I just know you are going to go ga-ga over part 2 of the BIG BACKYARD REVEAL!! Take a look and let me know what you think!
Let me give you a little reminder of the backyard before. Pretty BORING!
Here some after shots at different times during the day.
We can always do a quick switch-a-roo. By taking out the table and moving the chairs to face the fire pit, we can enjoy a lounging/living area too!
Vintage hankies serve as super-charming napkins! And because I can find them at $1 a piece (at estate sales) its not the end of the world when one of them gets ruined.
Hosta leaves and fern foliage from my own landscaping add to the focal point and place settings for FREE!
When I picked up the centerpiece at a garage sale (for $5, SCORE!) I wasn’t sure what is was supposed to be, but I immediately pictured it in the middle of my table holding food, flowers, or fruit! Wouldn’t it be so sweet used as a cupcake or cookie stand at a baby shower or wedding?
Here is the door leading out of Project Privacy and into the rest of the back yard. Tim and I built the fence with wood paneling that was covering our walls inside the house. Another green and free project!
Here you can see the path to Project Privacy.
A few more for fun!
Add a few candles in these outdoor chandeliers and we have plenty of light to keep the party going throughout the night. And of course all these were found at good ol’ garage sales!
Come to think of it, almost everything in this setting came from a garage sale, was being thrown out (so I snatched it up), or came with a clearance price tag. As a matter of fact $70 was all it took to create this enchanting area (that’s table and chairs included)!! The fire pit was a christmas gift which would normally bring the total tally to around $130. Still not to shabby!
MORAL OF THE STORY??? You don’t have to spend bookoos of money to beautify your space! All it takes is a little time and creativity. Don’t have either one of those? GOOD NEWS! I do! CLICK HERE to get a design consultation you can afford!

Very, very thrifty! And a great redo. Happy Thrifty Monday.
Kara, that is fabulous & I love that most of it came from yardsales. Sounds like my backyard project too. You’ve done a great job, looks very inviting.
