If you have been following the blog for a while now, you know all about Clean Slate. But if you haven’t heard of this awesome ministry, let me fill you in! Every year, my church comes together to finds families that are in need of a fresh start and gives their home’s a makeover!
Here are some photos from years past.

Of course with my belief that our surroundings greatly affect us, this project is right up my ally!!! The past couple of years, I spent weeks preparing for Clean Slate. I came up with design ideas, shopped for bargains, asked for donations, DIYed different projects, and more all in an effort to totally transform a special family’s space.
This year, I plan to do the same. However, I do have a full time job and the preparation that I’m used to is going to be an issue. That’s why I am posting about this now. I want you to be involved. I am going to need some help to achieve everything that I want to this year. If you live in the Tulsa area, I want you to come and help paint, purge, DIY, and more! If you don’t live in Tulsa, I am trying to think of creative ways that you can be involved too. Of course cash donations are always helpful, but what if you have some curtains you don’t use, or art you’ve replaced, or better yet maybe you want to create a piece especially for Clean Slate and ship it to us! That would be incredible!
The dates of this wonderful event are May 19th -21st, so you have plenty of time to pray and think about if and how you would like to be involved. Besides all the other obviously great reasons to be a part of this event, I would love to meet and work with all of you! What do you say, do you want to join the fun!?

This sounds like a great cause, and a fun one to participate in as well! Please let me know if there is anything I can do from FL, I’d be honored to help! I’ll have to dig through my stash of old decor and see what I have that would work. I can’t wait to hear more details about the project!
I will definitely post more details soon Jenny! Thanks for wanting to help!
