Every once in a while my love for design enters the fashion world. When it comes to clothing I am the person who adopts the trend only after it goes mainstream. Tell me to design a room with a load of on-lookers or to shoot a game winning free throw with a crowd of screaming fans, and I have NO problems. But tell me to rock the latest fashion craze and my confidence goes WAY down. But I think (emphasis on think) my newest creation is in style. Right?
Generally I would much rather spend time and money on things for my house rather than my body, which makes this dress perfect. It was FREE! I found these two items in my closet.
I simply used a seam ripper to remove the top part of the dress from the bottom part.
Then I pinned the tank-top in place and stitched it up.
SO EASY! SO CHEAP! SO CUTE???
I still can’t get down with the gladiator sandals- someone help me!!!

Don’t give in to gladiator sandals! Just say no.
The dress is super cute!
So cute! And the reason they are called gladiator sandals is because they went out of style in the Roman ages… I don’t see how they flatter any foot! However… I too am a late style adopter!

I can’t do the gladiator sandals either. Nice work.
love love love
very cute…if i may give perhaps a little suggestion? (i am by no means a fashionista, so take this with a grain of salt)…but, you are one pretty lady with some very pretty legs and i think this super cute dress could look better if you made it a little shorter…like that that 3″ band off the bottom – show your knees a little! Again, just a friendly suggestion from one woman to another…either way, the dress is super awesome and you look great in it!! 🙂
I love gladiators… but those little red shoes are to die for!
Great job! I love modifying my closet! It’s a great way to get a totally custom look out of something old or inexpensive!
forget them… gladiator sandals are fugly and i will be happy when they go away.
here in france they also have a slip-on version, they’re called “tropeziennes” and they’re equally ugly, especially as they are commonly seen in poke-you-in-the-eye-bright metallics. blech.
good recon on the dress, tho… 😉
