Today I am going to show you a resource that Tim recently came across. Since he showed it to me, this resource has been a favorite of mine. I’ve already used it to spec items for a couple of rooms I am working on! So, what is it?
Welcome to Spoonflower!
Spoonflower is a website that allows you to create custom fabric, wall papers, and wall decals!! How cool is that!!? You know I love to make my designs super personal and to have the room tell the story of the people that live there. This website provides an opportunity to take personal design to a whole new level!
For example, here’s a wallpaper I created for a client I am working with right now. . .
Do you like the pattern? Can you tell what images the pattern is made from?
HORSES! The first time my client saw her husband, he was on a horse. For that reason, I thought it would be fun to create a wallpaper out of horse heads that speaks to their very own love story! I love that from afar it just looks like an exotic pattern, but up close you see the image of the animal.
Another design I am working on is for a family that has a ton of Oklahoma pride, not to mention they’ve played an important role in the history of our fine state! Here’s a pattern Tim and I have put together for them!
I’m still playing with colors on this one.
I’m so excited about this fabulous resource! So many times I struggle to find the perfect pattern and/or colors in wallpaper. Now I can create exactly what is in my minds eye. . . and so can you!!! Check out Spoonflower here!
