I am happy to say this weekend I got one step closer to finishing up Anthony’s man room and I feel like things are really starting to take shape! 🙂
A few weeks ago, you got a glimpse of these “secret shapes.”
This is a custom wallpaper I had made for Anthony. There are all sorts of great wallpapers out there, but none that told Anthony’s story or truly inspired him. Can you guess why I chose these shapes for Anthony’s space?
In the last post, a couple of you guessed right! That shape was inspired by Jay-Z. He makes the form with his hands as a symbol of his record label.
Anthony is super inspired by Jay-Z’s story and how hard he’s worked to get where he is today. Basically, Jay-Z is to Anthony as Dolly Parton is to me! So, of course I wanted to incorporate that inspiration into the room! I told my friend, Kyle Stauffer (aka graphic genius), that I wanted to use that triangular shape in some way and he whipped out a few great options for me to choose from. Thanks Kyle!! This pattern is perfect!

I am thrilled with how it turned out! Not only is the design more personal now, but the paper brings in a great pattern and colors!

Looks great! It makes me think of a giant piece of scrapbooking paper hung up on the wall. Which, I would totally love! I have often wished I could decorate my house like I decorate my scrapbook pages… so many pretty colors and patterns. 🙂
