Tim and I have never met a home improvement or design challenge that we weren’t excited to take on. And we have spent the last 5 years doing exactly that. During our extensive renovations and intense design projects, we have learned skills from professionals while also figuring out some great tips on our own. We love the feeling of empowerment that comes with successfully completing projects and now our desire is to help others feel this same sense of accomplishment with our DIY classes.
Do you love creating and coming up with ideas, but lack the knowledge to take on certain projects? Do you lack creative vision but enjoy making things? Are you constantly on Pinterest admiring different ideas, but have yet to get in there and “get your hands dirty?” No matter if you’re lacking knowledge, creative juices, or motivation, our Concrete 101 class is for you! Now is your chance to sign up for class on August 11th, starting at 9 am right here in downtown Tulsa! To purchase a spot in the class, simply hit the buy now button and follow the instructions.

Once we receive payment, we will send out an e-mail with class details and directions.
Here’s what you can expect to get from the class-
– Learn about unique, creative ways you can use concrete and the things you can make with the material.
– Learn the basics of concrete- how it works, what it’s made of, how to reinforce it, ect. . .
– Learn about the different tools needed to work with concrete (good news- they’re all affordable!).
– Get valuable information about where to buy your concrete and what specific mix you should look for depending on your project.
– Learn about sealers so that your concrete creations last.
– Take home sheets to make sure you remember all the information we covered in class.
And our favorite part about the class–
You will get to take a project from start to finish and take your creation home!!! You will have two different project options to choose from:
– A large concrete letter
– A concrete vase
For those of you not in the Tulsa area, we hope to offer an online version of the class in the near future, so sit tight! 🙂
Sign up now, we look forward to meeting you!

Kara and Tim,
Do you know when the next class will be? I am trying to come to this one but I just moved back to Louisiana from Tulsa! Not sure if I can get off for this one:)

Oh, that would be a great class for my hobby needing hubby.
Unfortunately that is the day after the start of family vacation.
We will try again.
Hey Taylor! We aren’t not sure when the next class will be just yet. We will definitely put it on the blog when we decide on another date though. If you happen to be able to make it to this one, we would love to see you! 🙂
Yes, hope you can make it sometime! 🙂
I would love that – but we will be on vacation 🙁 Jeannette Swan
How fun! I live in an apartment and don’t have space to do projects like this. I would absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE to attend this class. Unfortunately, I live in California.
What great projects. I’ll look forward to an on-line class since I live in Oregon. I hope it goes well for everyone and you’ll report back.
I wish Tulsa were closer to San Diego! I’m fascinated by this idea. I have the UGLIEST tile countertops, two separate kinds of tile in one kitchen. I love DIY projects but was intimidated by attempting a poured concrete countertop my first time out so would love to use the Feather Finish. Do you think it would work over tile if I just let it fill in the depressions where the grout is between tiles? Any other ideas how to “hide” my ugly tile without a complete entire demo and redo?
