Do you remember me?

Hey Everyone!  It has been a loooooooooooooong time since I have written a post.   I know most of you assumed that the inevitable had finally happened, Kara threw me to the curb.  Well you are wrong.  She is still graciously putting up with me and all of my annoying habits.  
I think the last post I wrote was back in May, when I encouraged those procrastinators, like myself, to quit planning, preparing, pondering, and dreaming and just go do something.  I would love to show you a bunch of pictures of incredible projects that I have completed, but unfortunately I can’t.  One of the projects I have been working on was a set for a show that I can’t show until it debuts (which I think will  be January).  It should be a cool show, I mean I know the set it awesome, but the rest should be good too.  It is a SWAT Team competition show that will be on the Outdoor Channel.  
No one likes a post without any pictures, so I will include these.

These are a couple of pictures of the table base that I have been thinking and dreaming about for the past four years.  I won’t bore you trying to explain how it works.  
Besides that I haven’t really finished anything yet, but it still feels great.  I have been chasing some really big dreams and even though it isn’t certain that anything will happen soon or maybe even ever, I am more driven to keep working hard than I even have been before.  Just getting to see progress on ideas that I have been thinking about for years has been encouraging.  
The thing that I have worked the hardest to overcome the past couple of months has been not caring/worrying about what other people thought about what I am doing.  My best friend growing up (He and Kara are the hardest working most disciplined people I know) had this quote on his desk.   I just saw it the other day for the first time in a while and it really struck me.
It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. P.S.  While I was going through my phone looking for pictures of the table I found this picture and it fits perfectly.  I got to watch the greatest basketball player alive (Lebron James, don’t even think about saying Kobe Bryant)  play this weekend.  It was only preseason, but it was awesome to get to see the best do what they are best at.  This quote reminds me a lot of Lebron.  He got killed by the media and fans his first 7 years in the league just because he hadn’t won a championship.  I loved watching him slay so many of those demons in game 6 against the celtics this year.  I know y’all don’t care, but I love replaying that game in my head, he was ridiculous that night.

    King James has been the best player in the league for a few years now. Winning the championship forced the haters to finally respect the KING. He is truly amazing and plays the game in a way most of us have never seen. So happy for him! If you cannot give this man his props, especially with the way he plays the game, then you do not appreciate the game of basketball.
