The title of this post might have scared a few of you. Don’t worry! 🙂 I don’t say that I got married too young because things are going south with Tim and I. Other than the occasional (ok daily) “I want to hurt you right now moments,” we are doing great. 🙂 I love that guy! 🙂 I do say I got married too young because I was at a point in my life where I wasn’t sure of my style, my creative skills were underdeveloped, plus I didn’t have a lot of time to spend planning the most important day of my life.
Now, seven years later, I am about to attend my brother’s wedding. So crazy! He just happens to be marrying a very creative artistic type (Claire) and their wedding decor is going to be amazing! For the past few months they have been working on bringing different looks together. So, in the midst of all this, I am wishing I could have a redo when it comes to my wedding decor. My wedding had some really fun touches. For one, I got married on a basketball court- pretty awesome since that was the focus of my life for so long. I also had this massive tulle canopy (which some how didn’t get photographed!!! 🙁 major bummer!!!) over the basketball court. My reception location was gorgeous, but the decor I added was just ok.
So, anyway I see photos like this. . .
. . . and I see my soon to be sister in law working on projects like this. . .
. . . and I get sad and think about what my wedding could have been. 🙁 I keep telling Tim I want a wedding redo. I’d still pick the same groom but the rest of the day would get a major upgrade! 🙂
So, what do you think? If I had a wedding day redo, would you come?! Maybe I’ll just have a really great party. Yes, in my spare time I will plan the party of the century. 🙂 You should all expect to receive your invitations in about 10 years. 🙂 Haha! 🙂
Have a wonderful weekend!

I would definitely come to a wonderful wedding 🙂

I’m planning my wedding now (i get married next June) and there really are such wonderful resources (pinterest and blogs and pinterest and more pinerest lol) congrats to your brother and new sister-in-law:):)
And you could do a super awesome 10 year anniversary party!!! Just think, you’ll have three more years to plan the most crafty and artistic party:)
I’ll come! I’m sure it’d be visual overload (in a totally awesome way). I got married young too, and honestly, if I were to redo, I think I’d elope and save that money for home decor. ha!
I can relate – I feel the same way sometimes. I am trying to not regret, but to look for opportunities to enjoy party planning and holidays and use some of the ideas that I wish I could re-use for my wedding. ; )
I LOVED planning my wedding. It was so much fun. I got married in ’09 and got to do a lot of the crafty stuff I love, but I would still love to do it all over again. it was just so fun, and now I know what I would do differently. We might do a big vow renewal for our 7th anniversary (it is an old Pagan tradition). We’ll see.
I’m just glad I didn’t know what Pinterest was when I got married! I think it would’ve been too overwhelming – and I’m very very happy with how my DIY wedding turned out! 🙂 It had all the personal touches that made it my own and not just a big old “Pinterest Wedding”!
But a wedding redo as long as it’s to the same guy would be fun……renew vows maybe? 🙂
Thank God for Pinteres, if one day I will get married, the internet will be my wedding planner :).
You have a really cool blog here. Do you want to follow each other, I would love that.

Hubby and I are planning a re-wedding for our 20th anniversary (I wanted to make sure our family would be complete and all our blessings could be in the wedding). Still a few years away, but so fun to plan it!
I got married a year too early! There are definately a few things I would have added to my wedding if I had found Pinterest first!
I’m in for the party and that amazing looking cake!

Awesome Andrea! You are totally invited! 🙂
Allison, I would love to do that. Do you think people would actually come? It would be so fun! 🙂
Ahh Dana, I might just ask you to come and help me put it together! 🙂 I think we’d have a lot of fun! Good call on the eloping and home decor. I would at least use decor that I could take back and use in my home for years to come. 🙂
Caroline, bravo to you for decorating for the Holidays. By the time I get around to it, the holiday has already past! haha
Chance, that’s awesome that you loved your wedding and decor! Do you have photos of it? I saw your blog was “broken!” Hoping it gets up and running again soon!
Carly, I totally agree about not just taking a bunch of ideas you see on Pinterest and copying them. For me, that’s makes things pretty but impersonal. I would really rather see people put their own spin on things! 🙂
Maybe, a vow renewal. We will see! 🙂
Tereza, your blog is full of super cool fashion photos! Something I definitely need to reference! haha I’m a forward thinker in the design world, but not so much in the fashion world! 🙂
Ginger! Congrats on 20 years! 🙂 I bet that is going to be one amazing re-wedding! 🙂
Hey Ashley, I think I needed a few more years to really solidify my style! 🙂 At least we can help our friends and family out with their planning, right? 🙂
Grace, you’re awesome! 🙂 Loved hanging out with you last week and I agree- that cake is awesome! 🙂
