IT’S ELECTRIC- DOOT, DOOT. . .

IT’S ELECTRIC- DOOT, DOOT. . .
Did my title get you off your seat and on your feet doing the line dance of the 90’s? I hope so, that was my goal!
I wanted to take a post off from the how-to’s and show you some work I did in the children’s area at my church a little while ago. The theme of the children’s area is “WIRED.” So, I came up with four focal wall ideas having to do with electricity. Take a look at how they turned out below!
The first is a wall full of spotlights that tell children, “You’re a star!” The doors lead into a musical theater hence the word “LIVE” spelled out in yellow!

The second room has one main focal wall, but the action extends to the sidewalls as well. In thinking of all the ways electricity is displayed I envisioned sound waves. I love how they start off as a flat line and then gradually get bigger the closer you come to the doors that take you to the music area!

The third room is graphic display of an equalizer. Very cool! I love how the bold colors pop off the black background!

Last is the 4th grade room (the oldest group “housed” in this area of the church). What says ELECTRICITY more than lightning?! I was informed more than once that this room had to be a cut above the rest so those “too cool for school” (or church :)) boys would be pumped when they walked in the room.
Well boys, how’d I do?
I am so happy and honored that Battlecreek deemed my designs worthy to adorn their walls. To the church, “Thank you so much for allowing me to use my talents to glorify the One who gave them to me!”
