Mini Master Bedroom Makeover

Mini Master Bedroom Makeover

Hey Friends!  My goodness, this is a crazy week for me!  But if I can make it through I will be sooooo happy come next Tuesday!

Today I am showing just a couple of pictures from my mini master bedroom (temporary) redo.  In case you missed it, I just wanted to maker a few minor, but impactful enhancements until we have time to take on the more time consuming and permanent projects we have planned.

First up, every bedroom needs a headboard, right?!  Well this room especially needs one, because without it, you have no privacy and a open view to the bathroom!  Here’s the before. . .

So, the most simple, functional, and somewhat pretty thing I could think to do was hang some fabric behind the bed from a curtain rod.  And rather than leave it plain jane, I also hung a picture of my favorite singer/person- Dolly Parton! 🙂

Next up was hanging a light.  Formerly, there were just ugly “flood” lights that served a purpose but certainly  had no style.  I love this light I added that has a fun shape and flirty pattern!

Finally I switched up the bedding for a nice change of pace.  This quilt from Anthro adds great color and texture.  Also, by adding pillows and a simple fabric runner, I gave the bed a layered look.  This adds visual interest and a creates a comfy feel in the space.

So, let’s look at a side by side before and after!

Obviously I didn’t do anything mind blowing here, but it’s just enough to get me through until we can crank out out other ideas.  Hopefully I’ll have more to share soon!

Kara, I am so impressed with this bedroom you have created for yourselves! So amazing – I just love your creativity and how everything is so unique and just what you love and yet it could all be in magazines!
I’ve been busy and haven’t taken time to comment lately – love the new look of your blog too!
