MUTED KITCHEN STILL MAKES A STATEMENT

MUTED KITCHEN STILL MAKES A STATEMENT

Let’s end the week with a delicious design board! I made this one up for a client that was downsizing with the idea that she would rather have a smaller house designed just the way she wanted it instead of a larger house that she couldn’t afford to furnish like she wanted. I think the end result will be gorgeous!

MELISSA'S KITCHEN

The color palette for this space involves these lovely muted greeny-grays. I suggested painting the bottom cabinets the darkest color (#9) and the top cabinets the lighter color (#10). The wall color (#11) keeps things calm and cohesive. I think you can paint almost any cabinets and make them look good, so the countertops and backsplash is where I usually choose to spend the most mulah. Here I suggest a beautiful butcher block countertop to keep things feeling warm and to contrast against the GORGEOUS carrera marble backsplash. A farmhouse sink puts a perfect cherry on top of this lovely looking kitchen.

For the eat-in area of the kitchen I suggested a built in bench and chalkboard wall great for grocery lists and keeping kid’s busy!
UPDATE- Each time I post a design board I always have people ask why I don’t list my sources. After much consideration I have decided not to source my boards. I believe each client pays for a unique design and giving out all the information I give them would not be right. I post these boards in hopes that they can serve as inspiration for others rather than a complete plan. I love to creating unique designs based on people’s specific needs, likes, dislikes, background, and passions. If you need more than just a little inspiration shoot me an e-mail and I can come up with a design that is uniquely YOU!!! 🙂
