I have been obsessed with lofts, nooks, and the general idea of being able to shut yourself off from the rest of the world lately. A place where the “to do” list fades away and you can enjoy spending time with Jesus, watching a great movie, sipping some tea, or lovin’ on the most important person in your life.

My bedroom is like a big tent… I live in an old house that has an attic conversion and I made that entire conversion a bedroom (since I like warmth it works out)… My stairs are steep so you can’t see into my bedroom until you’re about 3/4 of the way up at which point you’re greeted by a silk chiffon tent that hangs from the ceiling over my bed.

Hey K! Thanks for leaving that link!! I love the idea of using draped fabric for a tent like effect. How wonderful! I’d love to see a photo of your room, even if it’s just a hipstamatic i-phone pic! PS- Does the fabric collect a lot of dust? If so, how often do you have to take it down to clean it?

Once I finish with a project I’m doing upstairs, I’ll definitely take a picture for you (the project is on the wall behind my bed) – it’s not quite like the link, but as I said, definitely inspired by… The way I have it hanging up makes it SUPER easy to take down to throw in the wash.
i promise you….. it is becoming positively wierd. I am beginning to think you read my mind. 🙂 I have been obsessively trying to figure out how to incorporate a loft/nook into a heavily used family room that also serves as a bedroom for my teenage son. Thanks for all the great ideas!
You definitely manage to catch all the aspects and different points of view in that collections. For me lofts are one of the things that can make one space so cosy and at the same to interesting depending on the materials you use. Some brilliant ideas just came into my mind after I saw your pinterest board. Greets check in report london
