Hi everyone, I’m Rachel from La Bella Bungalow, I’m so excited to be guesting for my friend Kara today! I’ve been following her awesome projects and DIYs for as long as I’ve been blogging and I’m always looking forward to what she’ll come up with next. The girl’s got talent!
Although I’m usually up to my ears in client projects, there’s one little project I’ve been slowly tackling in my own home. I love Mad Men and to add a little bit of the Mad Men vibe to my living room, I’ve gotta have a bar tray. And I say slowly, because I want it to be a carefully edited selection of pieces that I find while out treasure hunting. It’s taking some time, but I figure there’s no rush, since it’s rare that I get to imbibe in the evenings with a busy one-year-old running around!

Even when I’m when I’m on the hunt for great pieces in thrift shops and Goodwill, I still carry an inspiration board with me. It really helps me to stay focused and keep my eye on the prize. It’s so easy for me to get distracted when I’m on the hunt! Kara has given me so much inspiration through her blog. I hope I’ve helped to repay the favor by giving all of you some inspiration for your end-of-the-day refreshment spot.
