OUTDOOR OASIS SNEAK PEAK

OUTDOOR OASIS SNEAK PEAK
Ok Ladies and Gents, its time for a sneak peak into the outdoor oasis I am creating in my own backyard! Since dormitory days and my apartment era I have dreamed of owning my own piece of property that I could paint, pimp, and personalize! Now my beloved cottage provides me with more projects than I know what to do with. I enjoy every one of them, but none have proved more fulfilling than the open-air, al fresco areas! I can’t wait to show you the complete backyard conversion but for now here are some tasty tidbits to keep you wanting more!
This petite potted plant is cute as a button and perfect for the atmosphere I want to produce.

This handle isn’t vintage but it sure looks antique. Hobby Lobby really helped me out here!

Flowing fabric and curtains can come outside to create a divine and dreamy effect.

Some stunning colors and creeping ground cover keep the space picture perfect.
Nothing says charming like outdoor chandys!!! Just wait till you here where I found these fellas!

This container of home grown spinach is sure to provide a fresh from the garden side salad in the coming months.
What’s that you say? You want more? Well I promise to provide, but you’ll have to hold your horses and practice your patience! The riveting reveal is right around the corner!

http://www.junkmarketstyle.com/ Have you ever heard of this site? If not I think you will love it. I am a contributor on this site, and go by the name of Mimi. It is run by a Junk Queen named Sue Whitney and members contribute projects and tutorials on this site. It has some great stuff on it, and you can search on the right side bar for cool ideas.
Can’t wait to see what you do with your new outdoor space.

great pictures! I have an outdoor space that has amazing potential – but I’ve done nothing with it… We have 3 tiered decks and on the top deck, closest to the house, we have a refrigerator – it’s an eyesore… do you have any suggestions for getting past that. Paint? I cover up of some sort? We use it often for entertaining and such, so getting rid of it isn’t an option. Thanks for suggestions…

Hello GeorgeinLG, glad you like what you see! I would love to help you figure out what to do with that eyesore! Some people may think I only design full rooms, but it turns out that there are quite a few people that just need a creative quick fix! For $25 I will give you 2-3 different ideas for hiding that attention hog! You can e-mail me at kara.paslay@gmail.com if you are interested. I would definitely need a picture as well! Thanks!

Love all of the little sneak peeks of your garden oasis. Love your spinach plot and the hanging lanterns are fabulous. I found your blog from Olive Rue’s side bar. Look forward to looking though your archives. I’m enjoying what I’ve seen so far.
