I go through many stages in my designing. Sometimes I am geared toward a particular style, sometimes I focus on building and/or painting furniture, and then there are the times when I love working on outdoor spaces. What can I say, I have a creative mind that gets bored easily so I love that my career affords the opportunity to do something different every day.
The past week I have really been inspired to create new home decor items. From fireplace screens to light fixtures the ideas just keep coming at me. As soon as flesh out a few of these plans I’ll be sure to show you!
As for now, I wanted to show you a “rug” I created a while ago. On a trip to NYC, I was inspired by some laser cut felt rugs I saw in the furniture stores (see pic at top of post and below).

I took that idea and combined it with the inlaid wood look that you already know I love!!! This is what ensued.
