If you’ve been in the interior design world for long, there’s no doubt you’ve heard the phrase, “Don’t forget about the 5th wall.” That phrase of course is referring to ceilings. While many of us put thought into what we will put on our walls, few of us consider what sort of treatment to apply to our ceilings. An impressive ceiling can really change the look of a room and bring your design to another level.
I recently was posed with the question of what to do with this ceiling….
As you can see, there is some ceiling repair from water damage that needs to be taken care of, but after that, there are plenty of options that would bring great texture and drama to this somewhat simple space.
When it comes to finding unique treatments for ceilings, Armstrong has some wonderful options that are geared towards residential spaces. From tin ceiling tiles to decorative panels for a drop ceiling, Armstrong has lots of options to fit any style and space. Here are a few of my favorites….
So, when it comes to the space I mentioned above, I feel like a coffered ceiling would bring a beautiful elegance to the room and play off the wainscoting really well. Here’s the coffered look I’m talking about….
However, I think white would be just a little too monochromatic for my taste, so I would choose to bring in some drama by going black with my coffered ceiling. Something like this!
What a change, right?! If you’re thinking your ceiling might need an upgrade, check out all of Armstrong’s options right here!
‘Til tomorrow friends!
