Hey Friends! I’ve been on set for the last couple of days. Sometimes Tim and I do commercials/shows that we aren’t super interested in because we love production and being on set. But this time around I was really intrigued with the subject matter of the shoot.
By glancing at these photos, you can see that the show involved cooking. Well if you know me, you know that cooking is not something I enjoy. I love eating and I love trying new things, but spending hours in a kitchen cooking up something that will be consumed in 30 minutes seems like too little of a reward to me. I much prefer to leave the cooking up to people who have a passion for it! 🙂 So, although I was not super interested in the how-to of the recipes, I was interested in a certain appliance that was showcased. It was this sink. . .

I know what you’re thinking. A sink? Really? What’s so great about this sink that it held the interest of someone who has lived without a kitchen for 6 months?
Well, this is not just any sink, it’s a super cool sink perfect for party throwers, stay at home moms, and professional chefs. As a matter of fact, I think the Duggers could really use this sink! 🙂

Basically the design involves a huge trough style sink with two lips around the edge. These lips hold different boards/accessories that can be changed out, slid, and hidden depending on your needs. There are cutting boards, built in colanders, bowls, and buffet style containers. I was so impressed with the design of this sink, I am really thinking about purchasing one! 🙂
Here are some videos to give you some insight to what the sink can do. . .
There are a bunch more videos and tons of information on The Galley Website if you’re interested in checking it out.

Here are few photos from the site’s portfolio. . .

Pretty cool, right!? Tim has already thought about creating the sink with our favorite material- concrete. Either way I’d be happy!
‘Til tomorrow! 🙂
PS- Apparently the sink is also perfect for a few unexpected uses as well. . . . 🙂

What a brillant concept! Great for small spaces too, I bet.
You better not be giving any hints with that last little post and picture!
From your loving brother!
That sink looks incredibly cool!! (Looks like those dishes in the sink can be easily covered when I am too lazy to clean them) haha
What a cute baby! 🙂 That looks really awesome. I think my counter is way too small for it. Very cool concept, though.
Interior design of kitchen is looking very wonderful and i think a huge amount of materials used here for happy cooking.Thanks..

I so wish we were not renting. 🙁 I LOVE that sink and I’d loove to get one!!
Wow that is so crazy – my in-laws just bought a house in Tulsa that they are renovating (it’s this awesome 1950’s house that was once featured on the cover of House& Home!). Anyway, they were just showing us this sink – they are considering it for the new house. I’m really hoping they go for it – it seems so cool!
We put the 5.5 foot version in our lake condo and expanded our kitchen island by a foot. You cannot believe how it has given us options and much more room for prep, cooking, serving and cleaning up. Cleanup is a breeze and prep is so much fun.
