Friday, I received this box on my doorstep! Not only do I LOVE surprises, I love a good trade so this package had me extremely excited!!
You see Ms. Florence from THE NETHERLANDS wanted some in depth advice on pouring her own concrete tabletop. So I proposed a trade: some very valuable tips and tricks for creating her own concrete tabletop for some authentic items from her homeland.
So, what did we receive? A dutch bread box and hand stitched tablecloth!! Just lovely!
I decided these items needed to grace my table top right away. I smoothed out the table cloth and then created a centerpiece with the breadbox and a few other items I had on hand.
Right now, the bread box is holding all my vintage hankies (which I like to use as cloth napkins when guest come over) and tea towels. I love that they get to be displayed now because let’s be honest- they’re adorable!
The table cloth boasts this beautiful needlepoint(?) pattern that I will proudly display for years to come.
A BIG thanks to Florence half way around the world! And if anyone else wants to get together for a great trade- let me know!!

What a great trade! I love the Netherlands, especially since I was lucky enough to visit my sister over while she studied abroad in Utrecht 🙂

Fabulous tablecloth! I think it is actually cross-stitched and done beautifully! You have a great vignette there, enjoy!
