Yesterday was beautiful here in Tulsa!! And on days like that I sure don’t mind working outdoors. One day last year I was trimming our crape myrtles and was left with these beautiful pieces of wood that I couldn’t bare to trash. I immediately knew I wanted to create a coat rack out of the loped off limbs. I finally got around to it and here’s how it turned out. . .
I think I like the natural look, but I may decide to paint it a bright white or stunning silver at some point. Tree coat racks are pretty popular it turns out. Below is one from West Elm. It runs a cool $200!
I like mine better, maybe because it cost a fraction of the price to create. 🙂 If you are interested in snagging one yourself, shoot me an e-mail.
Oh, and I forgot to mention it can also double as a towel rack!

I love your coat/towel rack Kara! It looks so good and it is original and practical! xx
What a fun and inexpensive idea. I especially love it as a towel holder. This is going into my inspiration folder for sure!
I’ve been meaning to make one of those clothes racks for a while now – yours looks brilliant. In fact much better than the far-too-streamlined West Elm one!
