TREND SETTING AND A NEW WINDOW DISPLAY

TREND SETTING AND A NEW WINDOW DISPLAY

I’ve always wanted to be one of those girls who was fashionable enough to start trends rather than just following them. Well the other day I thought, “It would be really cute to start tying my scarves in bows!” So, I’ve been sporting the look ever sense.

I think it looks good with both “floppy”scarves and more structured ones, so you should definitely start doing it! 🙂
Then I thought what better way to start a trend then to put it in a storefront window display on one of Tulsa’s hippest streets! And that’s exactly what I did!

I am now doing a monthly window display for IDA RED on Brookside (along with a total redesign inside the store!) and this month I did a “Back to School” theme.
Here’s the left window. . .

and the right window. . .

I am still struggling with figuring out how to get a good photo of the windows (the glare kills me), so I took a few detail shots from inside the store.

So, what do you think? Do you like the window display? Are you going to start tying your scarves in bows!?

Did you paint that school chair? I may or may not have 6 around my super cool concrete table that I am contemplating painting…

The window looks awesome. I’ve got to get down to the that store sometime!

So glad you guys are liking the display! 🙂 You all have to rock the “bow scarf”!! And Ashley, I did not paint the school chair, I found it just like that. In a month or so when I do a new display you are welcome to have that chair to add to your collection! 🙂

I just pulled out 4 long vintage scarves that were my grandmas and couldn’t decide how to wear them…until now! Tulsans will for sure be sporting the bow scarf!
