Valentine’s Day is fast approaching so I headed over to Ida Red to give them a brand new, lovely looking window display! Being a Valentine’s Day design, hearts were a must.
Hearts=good
Glowing hearts= WAY better!!!
Here’s the left window. . .
I created the hearts from one of my favorite cheap materials- coffee filters. I cut poster board into the heart shape and then hot glued coffee filters to it. Then I ran rope light around the heart.
I could have bought shorter rope light and just have the heart light up, but I really liked the idea of having the rope swirl around the window, entangling the items within it. It kinda makes me think of how I “wrangled” my man and somehow got him to marry me. 🙂 I feel lucky, almost every day!
Ida Red had some fun and very Valentine-y stuff to decorate with this month. This stretchy lace shirt could be worn under or over other shirts for some fun layers. And I strung some heart rings onto a belt to make it seem more festive- you could do this in real life too (at least I think it’s pretty cute)!
I also loved this super sassy flower headband, which I used as a choker.
In the right window the set-up stayed the same, but the products changed.
Here, that lacy shirt (in a blue version) is underneath another shirt. On a real person the long sleeves would have shown, but they looked funny hanging limp so I tucked them back into the dress form.
In celebration of the season, Ida has some great TOMS in stock- gold, silver, and PINK glitter!!! Perfect for a Valentines Day, a breast cancer survivor, or just everyday.
I kept some of the swirly snowflake border from last time because it was just too adorable to get rid of!
I’m a big fan of those houndstooth earmuffs too. So stylish!
Hopefully this post gets you into the Valentine’s day spirit! Do you have any plans for the day of love? Tim’s birthday is coming up, so I am always looking for good ideas! Anyone want to share?

That is such a fun window display!! Love the hearts!
I really like the flower headband as a choker. Nice work!
