Wedding Day Decor

Wedding Day Decor

Well we’re getting into the thick of wedding season and Tim and I have the privilege of attending some really beautiful ceremonies with amazing brides and grooms!  One of our first weddings of the season was the union of Sarah and Charlie!

I was really excited to be a part of Sarah’s big day, but possibly even more excited to see all the decor that Sarah had planned for her venue!  Sarah is an interior designer as well and I knew every last detail would be thought out and perfectly placed!

Of course, a great invitation always gets me excited for what’s to come and Sarah’s invitations were just adorable!  I loved the typography and the sewed paper!

As you know, Tim and I love to celebrate our backgrounds and histories, so I loved this little set-up Sarah created when you first walked in to the reception.  There were five photos- each one showing off Sarah’s and Charlie’s parents and grandparents at their weddings.

I love this idea sooo much- I almost did it at my wedding, but I ran out of time. 🙁  Anyway, I love the concept of paying homage to where you’ve come from and celebrating the loved ones who’ve helped you get where you are.

Now this next table was also set by the exit/entrance and obviously didn’t come into play until the end of the night.  Throughout the photos you will notice signs that Sarah had painted to help guests know where to go and what to do.  Best of all, she can use these signs to decorate her house for years to come!  Every time she sees them, she’ll remember her special day!

On the present table, Sarah simply wrapped some empty boxes in craft paper and finished them off with some lacy ribbon and gorgeous vintage brooches!  Love, love, love this idea to use brooches to dress up a package!

The centerpieces at the reception were also a testament to Sarah’s love for vintage objects.  Each table was set with different items, but the feel and the color palette of each table was the same.

And once again, after the big day is over I am sure Sarah will be sporting some of these awesome finds in her home.  I love it when decor does double duty!

Below is another sign Sarah had painted to point guests towards a prop filled photo booth!

Guests felt free to grab whatever prop tickled their fancy and strike a pose.  If you can afford the film, I love the idea of using a polaroid camera so guests can take a picture home as a party favor too!

Needless to say, we had a ton of fun at Sarah and Charlie’s wedding and we left inspired as well!  You can check out more of Sarah’s inspirational designs on her Facebook page- Inside Out Designs!

See you Monday!!!

Her dress Is absolutely stunning! Reminds me of the dresses from BHLDN…. And the invites are so sweet with the perfect made with love vibe… I might be biased because a friend of mine owns a vintage prop rental (weddings and photography shoots are her meat and potatoes), but I also love the staging… A friend of mine from Anthro got married and her reception had a similar vibe…

I can think of nothing better than for a reception to feel like home

Oh, how fun! I wanted to go so badly, but we had baseball games that night and had to miss. 🙁 I’m glad I got to see a little bit of it here! 🙂
