Who Do You Want To Be?

Who Do You Want To Be?

Hey Friends!  Well, I completed the set that I was working on yesterday.  I’m not quite ready to share the final photos but here’s a little snap shot I got with my phone.  🙂

Today I just wanted to mention something I do to keep myself motivated and working when it’s way too easy to quit and take the easy road.  I love to surround myself with things that encourage me. . . with things that remind me of who I want to be.  The wonderful thing about life is the fact that you get to decide what kind of person you want to be.  Me?  When I think of one word that I want to describe me, it’s “Dreamer.”  And not a “dreamer” in the sense that I’ve got my head in the clouds, but a “Dreamer” who turns lofty thoughts into real goals.

In order to do that, I feel like I have to find ways to retain a laser focus, to keep my eyes on the prize so to speak.  I do everything from watching inspirational movies, listening to motivating music, and surrounding myself with positive messages.  Here’s one way I’ve been doing that lately. . .

I found this little notebook at Target.  As soon as I read it, I had to have it.  I love that it not only says “She’s a Dreamer” but also “a Doer!  Many times we come up with these great ideas for our lives, but they stay just that- ideas.  But I believe if I put my heart and my actions towards a God-inspired dream in my life, well then I believe that anything is possible.  I love to have little promptings around the house that remind me of the person I want to be and the life I want to lead.  Plus, I love the color combo! 🙂

Speaking of dreams, something very dreamy was just delivered to us!  After months of waiting,  I am so excited to put it in place! More photos to come!

PS- There were a couple of other notebook options at Target.  One said something about “leaving a sparkle everywhere she goes.”  That sounds good too, but it didn’t speak to me like the dreamer quote. But maybe it speaks to you! 😉

I LOVE the dreamer quote! I am working hard on following through with the ideas that I come up with so that they turn into goals instead of just dreams. IT is definitely nice when some of my dreams fall into God’s Plan…makes them a lot easier. Also, very cool set design:)

That’s such a great idea, to really surround yourself with motivational items to stay inspired when the going gets tough. As a new blogger I can see already how easy it would be to stop and take the easy way out. But that totally does not make a life, especially when it is God-inspired!!

Candin, so happy to hear you are working to make your dreams actual goals. I am a big believer in a dream only being worth going after if the Lord has put it in your heart. He has great plans for each of us! 🙂

Jen, girl, I am right with you. I enjoy the interaction I get when I blog, but sometimes writing a post is the last thing I want to do. But for me, writing this blog is definitely helping me get closer to my goals, so it’s worth the sacrifice (lost hours of sleep, the occasional rude comment, ect). Good luck with your new blogging adventure! 🙂
