When I’m trying to create spaces for my clients, I’ve found a couple of easy ways to incorporate elements that will speak to their stories. Fillable lamps are one of those simple and cost effective ways to add something unique to a space. I really like this piece from Target.
These lamps can be filled with all sorts of things! In fact, I will probably do a blog post just showing off all the different things that I might use when creating spaces for different people. I’ll put that on my to-do list! 🙂
For Cal’s room, I was trying to decide how I wanted to display all the ribbons she’s won from her gymnastics meets. The girl is talented, so there are tons of them! The fillable lamp was a great option!
I love the way the colors swirl together to make a beautiful, artistic homage to all of Cal’s hard work!
Ribbons and medals can sometimes be hard things to display without making a space feel cluttered and messy. I love that this idea is unique, artistic, and keeps things nice and tidy! Any chance you’ll try it in your kid’s space?
Great idea! I ride horses and have boxes of ribbons…but no good ideas for how to display them except for hanging them haphazardly on everything I can find. Might have to give this a try!
