Happy Friday Friends! Today I’ve got a great DIY project to show off! It’s no secret that I love the look of feathers and using them in design! You’ve seen me blog about it here and create a couple of different light fixtures featuring feathers from Moonlight Feather, here and here!

Now, a light fixture might feel like too big of a project for a lot of people. So why not start off with a pillow!
Here’s what you’ll need:
-a pillow
-feather fringe from Moonlight
-Modern Masters gold paint (which you can buy at Spectrum Paint)
-gold micro glitter
-glue gun
First, take the feather fringe and paint the MM gold paint on the ends of each feather. Take the paint about half way up.

Before the paint dries, sprinkle the micro glitter onto the feathers, and allow to dry.

Now, it’s time to place the feathers onto the pillow. Decide on the placement of all your feathers before you begin to glue any of them. Then use the glue gun to make things permanent.

Here’s how ours ended up!

Such a lovely color combo, don’t you think?!
More design goodness coming at you next week!!! 🙂
