Happy Tuesday Friends! Today I am so excited to be posting the full reveal of the Smith’s space! Sometimes I forget what a room looked like before we started our makeover madness. Going back and looking at these pictures made me realize how far this room has come!
Let’s take a look and the before and after….
BEFORE- don’t mind Tim 😉

I always love seeing a room transform in a few weeks, BUT the great thing that happens when you take your time and develop a design over time is that you create a space that full of meaning. This project was for friends and therefore we worked on it on and off over the course of a year. It’s amazing how much I learned about these beautiful people during that time. And those memories, history, dreams, and style preferences were little bits that I was able to incorporate into the design to create a space that really speaks to this couple’s story. Whether it is wall paper panels that hints towards the place where they took their vows or a table top that celebrates a special birthday, this space is beautifully personal and full of great projects in general. We’ve covered these elements over the last few weeks. But here is a list of all the projects in this space!
Gold and Green Bar Cart Makeover
Edgy and Chic Fireplace Screen
Banksy Inspired Church/Crossfit Art
And here are just a couple of things we haven’t covered!
This neon sign made it’s way into the space, along with the faceted console. Neon instantly brings incredible style to a space, don’t you think!?
Formerly, the space utilized normal black metal curtain rods. Absolutely nothing wrong with them, BUT the clear, acrylic rods with copper caps I replaced them with are a much better fit! So chic!
And that is the Smith’s space in it’s entirety! Def one of the coolest, most stylish designs I’ve ever done! It was a blast! ‘Til tomorrow!
I am still interested in a online design consultation and where did you source the acrylic curtain rods, just what I have been looking
Love your style and blog. Very creative designs and DIY.
I know the chandelier was there before but do you know where they got it?
I love how every room you design is so unique and yet still has that “Kara-signature-style.” My favorite parts of every design are the personal touches that tell stories about the owners. Great job once again!
